Capshun - Rising
Capshun creates incredible imagery and atmosphere on his latest release, Rising. I’m loving all the attention Capshun is now gaining through his music. He succeeds very well with creating powerful tracks that instill different moods and emotions. His Valentine’s Day release, “Iloveyoubecause.”, has such a different tone from “Rising” however it’s another prime example for this. “Rising” barely lets you catch your breath before you’re put into a rollercoaster of a production. The energy-building intro to the song is filled with booming, grand drums that fade into the rest of the percussion. In the midst of “our” rise, we suddenly fall into the grasp of the ride we have ahead of us. Capshun is able to carry us through this wild ride, “rising” above the stormy clouds and leaving them behind. Towards the end of the track, there’s almost an oasis created with the melody being carried over to a soft piano and birds chirping. With this sort of storytelling in an instrumental production, it’s hard to ignore the passion and detail put into each release down to its cover art.
