Chroma- DIDAS
The Latino Hip-Hop trio that doesn’t make real hip-hop makes a long awaited return with DIDAS.
Work has clearly been put in behind the scenes between this track and their previous work. The way they incorporate each other throughout the run-time is nearly seamless, interacting with each others previous verses and building of those verses energy. The production they went with here has loud smacking 808’s carrying the unorthodox mixing done with the track. Strap in, this cut is the equivalent of drinking gasoline while snorting a kilo of cocaine. High paced is an understatement…The vocals are varied, sometimes dropping to low tones providing a booming compliment to the equally hard hitting beat, and at other times it’s raised to higher pitches to contrast this very same production. Kalid kicks off the track with an high pitched incoherent verse that adds to the tracks energy and tone as another instrument rather than something of substantial lyrical content. Polo then continues proceedings soon after with a lower tone. Polo spits his verse at a high speed making sure the track continues its energy and doesn’t fall. Then to cap it all off, it falls to Bleu Santana. With a loud and assertive tone, he brings this track to its climax right before the track rides off on the beat. Here’s to hoping this trio brings this same energy to upcoming projects because holy shit we need more.
