Donovan Bogney- Dreamer Boy [MUSIC VIDEO]
Donovan Bogney makes his debut appearance on GGT with one sick ass cut.
Donovan Bogney has a flow, sound and unique image which is unmatched in DFW and probably nation wide. Zooming sounds fade in and out of the production at varying pitches to create an aspect that, when combined with unorthodox drum and snare patterns, exposes you to a new approach on what hip-hop can be, huge congratulations to producer Keylan Jackson here. Donovan Bogney makes the sounds at the very fringes of what can be considered hip-hop, music that can be digested and processed by the casual listener.
His lyrical content is deep, but most definitely not in the boring way. Syllable patterns vary, flows switch, vocal pitches go up and down, and that’s just scratching the surface of what’s packed into this short minute and forty-six second long piece.
And this visual, being directed by Donovan Bogney, matches every aspect of this cut perfectly. It sets the scene among the clouds; which is exactly where your mind will hover to upon listening to this piece. Great make-up and general visual direction are taken here.
