A little over a year after her landmark album, El Mal Querer, Rosalía is back with her sixth single of the year continuing to evolve and modernize the flamenco genre with every song she touches. ‘A Palé’ is no different and features a bass-heavy beat with Rosalía once again paying homage to her history and homeland of Spain with the title of the song. The phrase “A Palé” means to do something in the shadows or in a low-key fashion, and Rosalía’s lyrics are very centered on her flaunting her wealth and success in a subtle manner.
The song dropped with a lush music video as well that matches the ‘in the shadows’ theme of the title and track, and it uses traditional Spanish imagery with an industrial setting to provide for a very interesting watch. Rosalía is also sporting a unibrow and a grill at the same time in the video watch it below.
