Aries - BAD NEWS (Music Video)
The jack of all trades, Aries, releases his latest music video for “BAD NEWS”. A rollercoaster single from his newly released album, “WELCOME HOME”, filled with vitality and carefree attitudes. Produced by himself and Slippery Salazar, the beat is filled with hallmark Aries instruments. Included with a bright guitar melody, is a chest pounding 808. A new contrast that heavily fits his recent style. The vocals from Aries feature a very atmospheric and cloudy tone to them, and layering the vocals with this scream sample continues to show that Aries is pushing the boundaries of his production. Later on he supplements this sample for his own version of harmonizing the lyric in a strained and more energetic tone. The video, directed by himself and Mattias Russo-Larsson, begins with a Clockwork Orange inspired scene. Throughout the video is Aries set in various “dream-like” scenes, from Snoopy’s doghouse to a white bed on a beach. I love this style from Aries and I think it only adds to the unique persona he presents. He takes already “artsy” scenes that evoke a lot carefree themes and enhances them through video editing and adding his own creative insight into it. This guy is only getting better as time goes. Whenever there’s a long period of time where he doesn’t release anything, the better that next release will probably be.
