99 The Rebel - DIE REAL (Album)
The Rebel himself turns the dial to 99 on his latest album, “DIE REAL”. 99 continues to hone his otherworldly persona, building a creepy and dark mood throughout a lot of his songs. Starting with my favorite track (and the opener), “YAHWEH”, a weirdly warped hymn with harmonizing voices and pitched down adlibs. A very contrasting mix of vocals that creates a grim and bleak reality. “I THINK”, features pitched down vocals and a sinister production. 99 refuses to follow and chooses to build his own path with his music. The title track, “DIE REAL”, further cements his idea of originality and “dying real”. A lot of heart featured in 14 tracks of gritty and dark action.
