The Blue Brothers Return to Dallas
The Blue Brothers returned to their home city of Dallas for a live event at Club Dada. The brothers, Brndn, Blue the Great, and Stonie gave their fans a great night, as they played their roles as DJs for the event. The energy in the venue was electric, and fans left excited by the performance.
The brothers have been hard at work, with each working on different projects as of late. Brndn has been crafting his upcoming album, Blue the Great has been working on a wide range of artistic projects, and Stonie has been getting back into performing since the pandemic.
Mike Jones live at Turned Up Tuesday’s
It was announced this week that Texas legend, Mike Jones, will be returning to the 214 for a performance in Haltom City on June 22nd.. The event, titled Mike Jones Live at Turned Up Tuesday’s, features guests D’Money Turn Up, Dizzi Davis, David Morgan, Soulzay, among others. DJ duties for the night will be handled by DJ Uneeq. Tickets for the event are available now, with early bird tickets available for $10, and General Admission tickets available for $15. You can get yours here.
The Gold Room opens in Denton
College students and local residents alike will be excited to hear that a brand new indoor music venue, The Gold Room, has opened up in Denton. Co-Founders of one of Denton’s go to coffee spots, Golden Boy Coffee Co., saw an opening next door and jumped on the opportunity to expand their storefront and create a space for live music. The new space will have a capacity of 300 guests, making it the largest indoor venue in Denton. The Gold Room opened its doors for its first event on May 28th.
Ishi Single Release Party at Ruins
One of Dallas’ staple bands, Ishi, hosted a release party for their newest single, “Fly Away”, on May 28th in The Limbo Room at Ruins in Deep Ellum. Each fan that purchased a ticket received a download card to the new single, along with the opportunity to see the band perform. The event also featured an opening set from DJ Blake Ward.
