On Go Academy member and DFW residing artist 98 Chamberlain just dropped his debut EP titled WOK’S WORLD. 98 Chamberlain, lyrical artist at his core, paints pictures with his verses this is best represented on the Condo produced track ‘Wok’s in the House Freestyle.‘ While his abilities are visible, there is still room to grow. Sometimes the rhythm schemes can be a tad repetitive, such is the case on the track ‘Tim Westwood Freestyle.’ Overall however he is clever with the way he connects syllables, keeping you on your toes and wondering what his next verse will contain. Another upside of his talent that he displayed throughout this project is the way he is able to ride a tracks flow, a perfect example of this is the track ‘Believe That Freestyle.’

One of my favorite aspects of this project is the production and mixing though. Already having been familiar with Condo, I expected the sound to be quality. He is easily one of DFW’s most talented undiscovered gems. His unique ability to layer tracks on production that create different ambiances and emotions, bubbles to the top throughout this EP. All you have to do is peep the previously mentioned ‘Wok’s in the House Freestyle.’ Another producer I was not aware of before, that i’m happy I know of now, is 18buummm. He brings a groovy sort of retro futuristic jazz flavor to his tracks, look no further than the ‘Lolo Down Freestyle.’

In conclusion WOK’S WORLD is a project that has me not only excited for the future of DFW music, but the future of 98 Chamberlain and the rest of the OGA team as well.
