Pat Ron- Alchemy (Ft. Ronen)
In music news, we have a recent release from Dallas’ very own Pat Ron. The self proclaimed “Rap God” brings us Alchemy, a two minute and six second track featuring and produced by Ronen.
The Dallas producer, whose noteworthy production credit is for the late and great Lil Peep, creates a somber opening using a synth which comes in smooth and slowly builds up only to “drop” and build again for the entirety of the 152 beats per minute track. Ronen comes in after the opening to lay down his four bar hook over a light sprinkle percussion which cuts off momentarily on his third bar line only to introduce his repeated hook to a heavy distorted bass (hook meet face.. face meet power, BAMMM), breathing energy into the track.
Pat Ron comes in after to deliver a potent sixteen bar verse who according to the Rap God, “...wrote the verse in 10 min”. After being asked, “How would you describe the song?”, he states, “The song is a glitch in the simulation”, and it’s, “Two completely different words coming together”.
