Loners Club- angie
Loners Club has been evolving her music over the last couple years and with her most recent cut, angie, this trend continues.
The song begins with a guitar sample which many will quickly recognize to be Nirvana’s tune on Heart Shaped Box. As it does with that famous record, the tone and emotion here bleeds through with that melody providing the tracks background. Loners Club previously has been known for her work in the realm of R&B, but as she did with I Hate Bras, a turn towards creating rock seems to be where her thoughts are now. The main difference between I Hate Bras and angie however, is that this dig into the rock genre from Loners Club is approached with a softer and more ominous perspective. angie describes the pain relationships can bring and the internal destruction left within when one goes wrong. This message comes through that much clearer as Loners Clubs voice carries immense weight on the listeners ears throughout the songs minute and a half long run time.
The artistic versatility which Loners Club holds is impressive. What is truly promising however, is the talent with which her music is executed. Stream angie down below.
